I traveled to Venice, Italy in the summer of 2023 to develop a project proposal as a student in the contemporary art course at the European Art Center. My proposal consisted of an idea to create a body of work that told the story of one day walking in the city via abstract painting. Each painting in this section is made up of a collection of observations recorded through photos and video clips and the titles are derived from real time commentary I jotted down during the walk.
